Associated Scaffolding was contacted to help provide access for the construction of the dome on a new cathedral church in Knoxville, TN. The local scaffold erection team first constructed a 100’ temporary stair tower made of system scaffold from the floor to the steel dome. Once access was provided to the top of the dome the team then erected a scaffold to provide access for the construction of the cupola at the top of the dome. This scaffold structure was erected on the steel beams of the dome. The last part of the project was to wrap the outside of the dome with systems scaffold to provide working platforms for the completion of this part of the construction.
