Bovis Lend Lease Raleigh — Incident & Injury Free Commitment Workshop

An Incident & Injury Free Commitment Workshop was held on January 15th for Associated Scaffolding Company’s executive management team. Both Steve Gelety, Director of EH&S, and Ronnie Stott of Bovis Lend Lease coordinated and led the workshop. The Workshop was a partnering program and reinforced our commitment to safety. Associated Scaffolding Company learned how an Incident & Injury Free workplace could reduce the risk of incidents on their jobsites.

The four hour workshop elevated the level of awareness of safety by making it personal, relevant and important in how IIF impacts our choices and actions.

Associated Scaffolding Company, Inc. is a specialty contractor that has been in business for over 60 years providing products and services as a 1st and/or 2nd tier contractor to Bovis Lend Lease. Their service area includes North Carolina, South Carolina, Virgina and Tennessee.

New Branch Location in Raleigh, NC

Associated Scaffolding Co. is pleased to announce the opening of its new location in Raleigh, North Carolina. It is conveniently located at 1260 Kirkland Rd., just off the Beltline at Lake Wheeler Rd., Exit 297.

Our new branch, with a 1500 sq. ft. showroom, provides plenty of room to display all of the equipment we carry for your access needs, such as, Universal Scaffolding, Werner ladders, walk boards as well as a full line of Marshalltown tools for mason and stucco professionals and Aluma-A-Pole pump jacks for siding professionals. We have set-up an exclusive “fall protection” room with a large variety of safety harnesses and lanyards, as well as other safety and climbing equipment.

The Raleigh team is lead by Donovan Douma, (Branch Manager), Brian Hawkins (Asst. Branch Manger) and William DeMent (Raleigh Salesman). Donovan has 5 years experience with the company, and has a proven track record that ensures our customers are our number one priority. Brian, a 3rd generation Hawkins, has been working in the family business since he was 13 and is becoming someone in which employees and customers can rely and count on. William, with 22 years of experience, is our most experienced salesman and is ready to handle any and all of your scaffolding needs.

New Branch Location in Knoxville, TN

We, at Associated Scaffolding, are excited to announce the opening of our newest location in the beautiful city of Knoxville, TN on September 1, 2009. The new facility is located at 5210 North Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, TN 37921. The Branch Manager is Simon Jeffery, who has relocated from Columbia, SC. Just as Knoxville and Eastern Tennessee are growing, so is Associated Scaffolding. It is a very exciting time to be expanding into Tennessee. We hope you will contact us with any of your construction access needs. The sky is our limit.

We are pleased to announce the two Sales Representatives that will be working from this office:

· Anthony Manis (865 / 441-5691) will be covering the area from east Knoxville to Asheville, NC to the tri-cities. Anthony has been in the Knoxville area for 15 years working in the construction industry.

· Andy Evans (865 / 441-5050) will be covering west Knoxville to Chattanooga. Andy, likewise, has been in the Knoxville area for 15 years working in the construction industry.

Associated Scaffolding is the leader in the scaffold industry in the Carolinas and Virginia and is excited to bring the experience and expertise of 62 years in the access industry to Eastern Tennessee.

Engineering Department

Associated Scaffolding has always endeavored to place “Customer Service” as Job One in our daily operations. In keeping with this, we are pleased to announce the addition of our Engineering Department. The Engineering Department is fully equipped to produce our own CAD plans of scaffold layout for all size jobs. We will provide these plans, stamped by a licensed P.E., fully ready for your immediate use on your job.

We are excited about this new phase of our service that we can offer to all of our customers. It is our hope that it will be a valuable asset for your future projects.

ASC (Committed to Safety)

As part of our continuing commitment to safety, Associated Scaffolding is proud to be a member of the ABC (Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc.) Triangle Safety Committee. This committee meets monthly to discuss safety, new OSHA rules and regulations, new safety equipment, and safety products to help promote safety in the work place. Associated Scaffolding is committed to making the work environment of each individual more safe.

First Aid and CPR Training

Sections 1910.146 (k), 1910.1030, 1926.50 Subpart D, and 1926.950 (e) detail requirements for the presence of personnel trained in First Aid and CPR on the job site.

We offer a one-day training program that covers Basic First Aid, Adult CPR, AED and Bloodborne Pathogen training. This training enables your employees to provide basic first aid and stabilize injuries until emergency personnel arrive.

Associated Scaffolding has been named exclusive distributor for North and South Carolina and the southern part of Virginia by Klimer Manufacturing, located in Hornby, Ontario, Canada. Klimer Manufacturing is an industry leader in mast climbing solutions. Klimer mast climbers provide fast and easy access and mobility for EIFS glazing, roofing and many other types of restoration and construction projects in North America.
